Flourish & Flounce LLC is a locally owned company that sells centerpieces and tablescapes, as well as other home decor. I started doing freelanced design for Flourish & Flounce in January of 2019, and have since been hired as the Graphic Design and Marketing Intern. I have also been tasked with running the company’s social media while the owner is on maternity leave.

Notable Accomplishments:

  • Social Media Growth

    Facilitated a 286.4% increase in content interaction, and a 45.6% increase in accounts reached on Instagram during February of 2021.

  • Creation of Efficient Collateral

    Cut yearly cost for shipping collateral by an estimated 80% through ideation and implementation of QR code postcards.

Creating a Logo for Flourish & Flounce:

Problem: The owner of Flourish & Flounce felt as if the current logo was no longer in line with the brand of the company. She wanted a new logo that was more clean and elegant, and was less busy.

Solution: I created a new logo for Flourish & Flounce, using a serif font similar to the one used for the word “Flounce” in the original logo. I kept the logo from getting too horizontally oriented or too vertically oriented, so that it can be used seamlessly across different formats.
